Mike Leonard's Plumbing History
1978-1983: At a young age, Mike knew he wanted to be a plumber. At Hershey High School he participated in the co-op program, attending school half day and working as a plumbing apprentice half day. He attended Williamsport Area Community College for Plumbing and Heating.
1983-1992: HB McClure served as Mike’s college apprenticeship program, and following graduation he worked as a field tech and was promoted to their Commercial Estimator.
1992: At a local auction, Mike purchased a van for $900
and “Mike Leonard’s Plumbing” was born.
1992-1997: The business continues to grow, lots of great
customers place their trust in Mike Leonard’s Plumbing. |

1997-1998: Mike Leonard’s Plumbing became a division of a larger company as the one man shop became too much to manage with Mike’s growing family.
1998: Mike decided he missed having a local business, and decided to go back out on his own, knowing he would need more help. Joe Rothermel became the first plumber joining Mike and is still with us today, along with a full time office manager.
From those humble beginnings to the 5 fully stocked trucks and staffed office we maintain today, a few things remain the same:
Our commitment to providing the best possible service
The desire to make a difference in the community
Consistent willingness to stay ahead of changing codes, practices, and products in the plumbing field
Standing behind the products and services we provide with our satisfaction warranty
The understanding that it is a PRIVILEGE to be your plumber. THAT is a responsibility we take very seriously!
